The 3 Most Effective Ways to Turn Your Frustration into Inspiration

Become a Long Term Thinker
Perhaps, one of the most important piece of advice we can offer. You have to be the type of individual that does not get caught up in a single instance of disappointment or frustration. The more personable the situation is, the more likely you are to be blinded by your emotions. Which in turn, may lead to an action out of character, leading to deeper regrets down the road. Whenever you find yourself slipping into an agitated state, practice stopping yourself by counting backwards from 5 slowly. This technique is a change of pace. As you become better and better as this technique, you’ll develop a sense of seeing beyond the moment of frustration. Rather than acting on impulse, you’ll see the consequences before they happen and take the steps to prevent them. This is viewing life beyond the moment. There are numerous scenarios this technique can be applied too. For instances, receiving a less than stellar grade on an assignment. Before sinking into dismal state, think beyond the fail assignment. Think of other opportunities that are ahead which will offer chances to make up for the earlier blunder.

Learn from the Past
It is often underestimated how much the weight of past events can truly weigh down on a person. Some individuals, they carry the past as a brand of shame throughout their entire life. You have to learn to view the past mishaps not as a mistake but a lesson. So in life, there is truly never any mistakes being made but more of a learning event. You’ve taken a wrong turn, surely you won’t take that turn again if the opportunity present itself. Recently ending a relationship with a significant other, now you know what qualities you adored and some that may have been less favorable. Lesson learned, for what to look for in your next match. As you continue to navigate through life, take life’s lesson as they come along. Keep living, keep learning.

Develop Self Awareness
As hard as this is to believe, many individuals do not understand themselves as much as you would think. To understand one’s self, you need to find out more about who and what type of person you beyond the surface level. For instance, understanding your hot buttons that would cause you to normally fly off your lid. This provides foresight for these hot buttons when they are heading your way. Developing this allows the person to either be ready to address or dodge that of which would of been an issue in the past. It is even more beneficial to develop awareness of things that you find more enjoyable. Identifying and being tuned in on the small pleasures of life that provide you great joy that leads to a richer life. If you find that sitting outside on beautiful day is more enjoyable than you previously realized, make time for this.
